Female black
& white, domestic shorthair; born approximately
October 2007
Sienna was abandoned at
Petco, stuffed in a box containing a total of
11 cats! Included among the cats were
her own 5 tiny kittens (only 3 weeks old at the time), as well
as another mama cat and her kittens. We suspect that
the other mom, Neon, was Sienna's daughter from a previous
litter - they are very comfortable with one another and take
turns nursing all 9 kittens.
Though Sienna was initially terrified when the manager first
discovered her and the other cats at 7:00 AM, she quickly
settled into her new foster home, clearly recognizing that she
and her kittens were safe. She is affectionate and playful, but
has never really had a chance to be a kitten herself. Sienna is
more than ready to move beyond the kitten chaos and close down
her overrun daycare center. However, she would probably enjoy
being placed with Neon or her single remaining (unspoken
for) kitten, Jaguar.
