SAMANTHA – black female, born approximately 6/07
Samantha has been in the city shelters since the beginning of June. She is such a sweet and loving girl that the shelters moved her three times to different facilities, to disguise how much time she had been in the city’s care.
She went on the “alert” list and Felines & Friends received an e-mail about her. She is scheduled to be spayed on Monday, she has tested negative for both FIV and FeLV, and Samantha has had all her vaccinations.
For a kitty that has been stuck in a cage for 3 months, Samantha is most affectionate and good-natured! She is also incredibly intelligent – when she was picked up at Value Vet, she was brought up to the front in a technician’s arms and placed on the counter. She investigated the counter from one end to the other and looked questioningly at the carrier that had been brought for her transport. She was told, “yes, you are coming home now…” and she immediately walked into the carrier, turned her face to the front, laid down and crossed her paws. She was ready to go!
Samantha gets along with other cats and loves people. However, she is frightened of dogs.
