McConnell & Marina
McConnell - Male neuter, Long hair (lilac point) Siamese mix, born approximately June 2009.
This stunningly beautiful boy was rescued off the streets along with his little friend, Marina. At the time of his capture, he was quite thin, his coat was filthy, and he was infested with fleas. Given his initial level of terror, it was obvious that human contact was foreign to him. Despite this, within a couple weeks of arriving at his new foster home, he discovered that he thoroughly enjoys being lavished with affection, always purring and rolling over on his back for a belly rub with just a little coaxing from his foster mom. He is still quite shy, though, and relies heavily on Marina for comfort and security.
Marina - Female spay, domestic shorthair, grey and white tabby, born approximately June 2009.
This pretty little girl was a feral kitty that was rescued off the streets of Marina del Rey along with her friend, McConnell. At the time of her capture, she was emaciated (weighing in at less than 3 lbs) and extremely dehydrated. Although she was obviously very hungry, she was too weak to eat more than a few bites of food on her own, so her foster mom had to assist her. She also required the daily administration of subcutaneous fluids for several days before she was properly hydrated. In all likelihood, Marina would not have survived much longer on the streets. After a few weeks of TLC, she has transformed from a pathetic looking bag-of-bones to a beautiful cat. Marina is exceedingly shy, however, and will require a forever home with somebody who is very loving and patient. She also relies heavily on McConnell for comfort and security, so they absolutely must be adopted as a pair.
