BEN      Hello, my name is Ben. My siblings and I were born stray kitties. We hunted around with our mother for a place to stay. When we were about 6 months old, we found this great place! They had us all neutered, took us to the vet, and fed us everyday! After a couple months, we became such nice kitties, that the people there let us live in the house. It's a rough neighborhood out there, so we are very happy to sleep on the couch and play with our new human friends.       I am a little smaller than my siblings, but the vet said I am fit as a fiddle. My small size just enhances my cute factor! I'm sure you'll agree after looking at my photos. The vet says I'm almost 12 months old. I have been neutered, received my rabies and distemper vaccines, dewormed, and I receive Advantage every month for flea prevention. I have been tested, and I'm FeLV/FIV negative. I'm very well behaved. I always use my litter box, and the scratching posts.      When I first came inside, I was a little timid. After living with these humans for almost four months now, I have decided that they are pretty cool. I don't like to be picked up and held very much, that's not fun for me. I do love to sit next to my foster mom and dad, and I love receiving lots of head scratches and snuggles. My new favorite place is sitting on their laps.  I especially like to butt in if someone else is receiving love, I am the cute one after all.       I love to hang out with my brother, Aster. We can usually be found together on the couch. He is also my favorite playmate, so it would be nice if we could stay together, we would be a wonderful pair. We chase and wrestle together, but it's all just for play. I am not aggressive at all, and I love all toys that are suspended from strings!       I am friendly with all of my feline roommates. I like to sleep close to them, and groom them if they'll let me! I would do best in a house with other social cats. I have never met a dog, so it would probably take me some time to get used to one.    ASTER      Hello, my name is Aster. Did you know that my name means "star"? I think that's because I'm a superstar. I was born a stray kitty, with my three siblings. Our mother took us all over the neighborhood looking for a place to stay. When we were 6 months old, these people started feeding us everyday! They even had us neutered, and took us to the vet. After a couple months, we decided these were nice people. They thought we were pretty nice too, so they let us live in the house. It's great to live inside, so many soft places to sleep!      The Egyptians worshipped cats in the past. I am the perfect example of why they did so. I am an all black kitty, with a very small white patch on my belly. You can only see it if I choose to show it to you. I have a very regal, beautiful face, and an excellent attitude to complete the package. I love to rub on your legs and remind you that I'm there. Be careful though, I also like to lie down on your feet when you are making my food. I love having my head scratched, and I do enjoy snuggles sessions with my humans. I haven't became a lap cat yet, but I'm getting closer. Being held for short periods of time is just fine with me.       The vet thought I was a really cool cat. He said I'm almost 12 months old.
